We’re research-oriented and science-based to advance our understanding of the brain.
Grants Overview
The most crucial element of an application will be ensuring your request addresses our Foundation’s focus in neurocognitive healthcare and treatments for brain-related ailments.
Once you have determined your initiative is a clear match for TMCity, applicants may submit a letter of inquiry (LOI) that is no longer than two pages and provides a brief description of your organization and the project for which you are seeking funding, amount of funding requested, the need that will be addressed, anticipated outcomes, and key people involved.
We accept LOI’s on a rolling basis. Completed LOI’s may be emailed to: info@tmcity.org
Application
Process
If the Foundation is interested in considering the request, applicants will be asked to submit a second, more detailed application. This application should include:
- Complete description of the project for which you are requesting funding.
- Statement of purpose, goals, and strategies to achieve them.
- Criteria that will be used to evaluate success.
- Profiles of the key people responsible for carrying out the relevant project.
- Detailed project budget, including amount requested from the Foundation and other funding sources/grants.
- Contact information including an email address.
The full application should be limited to five pages. Applicants will be asked to submit a detailed project budget, any audited financial statements, and 50l(c)(3) documentation. Receipt of grant applications will be confirmed by email. Applicants will be contacted if additional information is needed, or if the foundation wishes to schedule a site visit or follow-up meeting.
Because of the number of requests the Foundation receives and the time required to develop a complete grant proposal, we ask you not to send full proposals unless you have been requested to do so by the Foundation in response to a letter of inquiry.
